Technical Working Group
Members of the Technical Working Group (TWG) include expert technical consultants of civil and hydraulic engineers, geomorphologists, hydrologists, riparian ecologists and fish biologists from the County, Friends of Corte Modero Creek, the Army Corps and outside consultants, as well as community volunteers (for example, San Anselmo has formed a 6-member technical group that is participating). They are now performing detailed forensic analysis of the flooding, including watershed-wide hydraulic mapping. Working with the cities, the TWG will develop the most effective flood protection solutions that also respect the creek and enhance the environment. They are working at high speed and conducting open meetings about every month.
This TWG will engage in a peer review process during the project. Several community organizations have members with extensive professional qualifications who will review technical recommendations and ensure they have broad community support.
